Logging of general data

When you access our website, data of a general nature is automatically captured. This data is known as server log files and usually comprises the type of web browser, the type of operating system, the domain name of your ISP and similar details, which none of them permit any conclusions to be drawn about you personally. This is data which is technically required to enable content requested by you from websites to be delivered correctly. If you use the internet, the data is indispensable. We carry out statistical evaluation of this type of anonymous data to improve our internet presence and the technology on which it is based.

As do many websites, we use "cookies", too. Cookies are short strings of text that are transferred to your hard drive from a website server. They are the means by which we receive certain data automatically - e.g. IP address, browser employed, operating system - via your computer and your Internet connection. Cookies cannot be used to start programmes or to transfer viruses to your computer. The data contained in the cookies enables us to make it easier for you to navigate our website and obtain the right display. Without exception, we never pass on the data to third parties and never make a link to your personal data without your express consent. It is, of course, possible for you to look at our website without allowing cookies. It is customary for Internet browsers to have settings by which they accept cookies. On your browser, it is possible for you to disable the use of cookies at any time by changing the settings. We suggest you use the "Help" functions of your Internet browser to discover how to change these settings. Please be aware that there may be functions on our website which do not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies on your computer.

TLSv1.2 encryption

To keep your data safe during transfer, we use a state-of-the-art encryption method via HTTPS.

If you contact us by email, the details you give will be stored for purposes of dealing with the enquiry and any possible subsequent queries.

Server Log Files

Our website provider automatically logs and stores data in what are known as server log-files which are sent to us automatically by your browser.
They are:
type of browser/ version of browser
operating system in use
referrer URL
host name of the computer used for access
time of access to server.
None of this information can be assigned to a particular person. None of it is combined or collated with other sources of information. We reserve the right to look up the information if we become aware of a specific reason to suspect illegal use.

Liability for content

We accept responsibility under the general laws of Germany in accordance with § 7 Section 1 of the TMG for all of the AfTeG content provided on the website. §§ 8,9 and 10 of the TMG provide, however, that AfTeG is not obliged either to monitor outside information provided or stored or to investigate any circumstances which point to illegal activity. The duty remaining under the general laws of Germany to remove information or block its use is unaffected by the above. Any liability in respect of this duty is, however, impossible before the moment of recognition of an actual offence. If such offences become known to AfTeG, action will be taken immediately to remove the content.

Liability for links

This website includes links to external websites belonging to third parties; as AfTeG has no influence on the content of these, the company accepts no liability in respect of it. In all such linked cases, the relevant website publisher or operator is responsible for the content. At the time of linking, a check was made for any possible breaches of the law. No offensive content was found at the time of linking. Ongoing monitoring of the content on linked websites would be unreasonable to expect without a firm indication of illegality. If any offences become known to AfTeG, action will be taken immediately to remove the link.

The German law on copyright applies to all content and works created for this website by the site operator. Any reproduction, editing, dissemination or commercial exploitation in any form beyond that allowed under copyright law requires the written agreement of the author or creator in every case. Downloading and copying of this website is permitted exclusively for private, non-commercial purposes. Insofar as any content on this site was not created by the operator, the copyright belonging to third parties is and has been respected. In particular, such content is so designated. Should you become aware despite this of a breach of copyright, AfTeG should be informed. If any offences become known to AfTeG, action will be taken immediately to remove the content.
